Jacob Zhimomi, the sitting MLA, is a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from the Ghaspani-I seat in the upcoming Assembly elections in Nagaland. He has been consecutively elected in the Nagaland Legislative Assembly election from Ghaspani-I since 2013. He is currently serving as the Minister of the Minister, Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) in the government of Nagaland in the fourth Neiphiu Rio ministry. Jacob Zhimomi is the son of Ihezhe Zhimomi a native of the Aghunato sub-division of Zunheboto District and a former MLA of the First Nagaland Legislative Assembly. In the upcoming elections, the sitting MLA is contesting against Vikato Aye of the NPF and Akavi N Zhimomi of Congress.
