Mairang Legislative Assembly constituency is one of the 60 Legislative Assembly constituencies of Meghalaya. Mairang is a Town and Block in West Khasi Hills district and is reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes.There are total 143 villages in this block. The estimated population of Mairang in 2023 is 108,817.
The sitting MLA for the constituency is Metbah Lyngdoh, the United Democratic Party (UDP) leader and speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly. From the Mairang constituency, he was elected to the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly in 2008, 2013, and 2018.
In the 2018 Assembly elections, Lyngdoh won the seat for the party with 10,710 votes by defeating Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) candidate Councellor Singh Wahlang with a margin of 2914 votes.
