CPI(M) exploited Tripura during its rule: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh during poll campaign for BJP

Defence Minister of India and senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh addressing Vijay Sankalp Jansabha in Kaliashahar lanuched an attack on CPI(M) and said that it has ruled Tripura for a long time and exploited the people of the state during its rule while after the BJP came into power in 2018, the state’s face have been changed.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh who is in Tripura to boost BJP’s campaign for the Assembly elections in the state scheduled to be held on February 16, 2023 today held two rallies at Kailashahar in Unakoti district and at Badarghat in West Tripura.
Addressing Vijay Sankalp Jansabha in Kaliashahar, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that CPI(M) has ruled Tripura for a long time and although it said that it was the government of the poor and the laborers, but it is neither the government of the poor nor the government of the workers, they have exploited the people of the state during its rule. Tripura should have been developed, these people did not do it.
He said that if there is any government that cares for the poor then it is only the BJP.
Talking about the development BJP did in the state since it has came into power, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that he have seen children of Tripura studying using lanterns, but ever since the BJP government came into power in 2018, electricity has reached every village in Tripura.
The state made BJP “superhero” from “zero”, he added.
He further said that as the BJP government is making every effort to speed up development in the state, roads, water connections, and power are now accessible.
The Defence Minister further claimed that because the BJP does not support violence, it has now stopped in the state.
He urged the public to vote for BJP to bring the party into power and to continue the development of the state. He expressed his confidence and assurance that Tripura will be the number one state in the Northeast.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh arrived on a two-day visit to the poll-bound state on Monday (February 6, 2023).
Tripura will go to polls on February 16, 2023 and the results will be declared on March 3, 2023.
