World’s highest polling booth in Himachal Pradesh’s Tashigang witnessed around 98.08% voter turnout today. Out of the 52 total voters, except 1 all others exercised their franchise for electing the next government in the Hill state.
Situated at a height of 15,256 feet, the World’s highest polling booth in Tashigang was made a Model Polling station to make voting easy for senior citizens and disabled voters.
Earlier, voting began across 68 seats began at 8am today amid elaborate security arrangements. Over 55 lakh voters will decide the fate of 412 candidates.
A total of 55,92,828 electors who can cast their votes till 5 pm today will decide the fate of 412 candidates.
As per the Election Commission of India (ECI), 65.92% voter turnout was recorded till 5PM.
