Woman, her five children burnt alive after hut catches fire in UP’s Kushingar

Six members of a family, including a mother and five of her children, died after their hut caught fire in Uttar Pradesh’s Kushinagar district on Wednesday.

The incident occurred in the Ramkola area on Wednesday night when the family was sleeping. The cause of the fire is being ascertained by police, reported India Today.

Locals raised an alarm when they saw the blaze inside the hut. They tried to rescue the family trapped inside by extinguishing the fire.

But the family was burnt alive.

Police are at the spot and have launched an investigation into the incident.
