Shraddha murder case: Did crime shows influence the accused? Shocking details of brutal murder come to light.

Shocking information has come to light in the murder case of Shraddha who was allegedly chopped into 35 pieces by her live-in partner, Aftab Amin Poonawalla in Delhi.

Before committing the crime, he watched many crime movies and web series, including the American crime drama series ‘Dexter’, revealed reports.

It may be mentioned that Aftab allegedly killed Shraddha then chopped her body into 35 pieces, and disposed off the body parts for 18 days in different parts across the city.

Reports said that Aftab also used incense sticks and burnt them to eliminate the foul smell of her mortal remains.

Aftab also had relations with many girls even before Shraddha, according to reports.

They met through a dating app in Mumbai. They recently moved to Delhi and had been in a live-in relationship for three years.

What is the story?

28-year-old Aftab Poonawalla, a resident of Mumbai allegedly killed his live-in partner Shraddha Walker (27) then chopped her body into 35 pieces, and disposed off the body parts for 18 days in different parts across Delhi.

According to reports, Shraddha was repeatedly asking her live-in partner to get married and due to this pressure, he killed her.

Delhi Police on Saturday arrested Aftab the prime accused in the six-month-old Shraddha murder case. He has been sent to five-day police custody.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered against him under IPC sections 302 (Murder) and 201 (causing the disappearance of evidence of an offence committed).

As per reports, Aftab and Shraddha had an argument on May 18.

During the fight, Shraddha was shouting, therefore, in order to silence her and make sure their neighbours don’t listen, Aftab pressed her face, causing her to choke to death.

Aftab bought a refrigerator and stored the chopped body parts of the victim in it.

Later, he began dumping the body parts at various locations in and around Delhi at night.

Shraddha and Aftab used to work together at the same call centre in Mumbai, but the girl’s parents objected to their relationship.

They moved to Delhi and started living together in a rented home in the Chhatarpur area.

Shraddha regularly posted pictures on Facebook. But in September her friends informed her family that there was no contact with Shraddha for two months.

Her family got suspicious when they could see no posts of her on her Facebook account for a few months.

In November, Shraddha’s father Vikash Madan Walker visited the place where her daughter was staying with her live-in partner.
When her father visited, he found the place to be locked, so he filed a missing person report.

Following the complaint, police started an investigation and the accused was finally arrested.
