The craze for a selfie turned fatal for a 38-year old man from Rajasthan who chose to pose with the King of the Jungle, unfortunately which could not happen.
Visitors at the Sri Venkateswara Zoological Park in Andhra Pradesh’s Tirupati were left in utter disbelief and panic as Prahlad Gujjar ignored warnings of the park authorities and climbed a 25-feet tall fence before jumping into the lion enclosure.
And what followed was simply terriying, as the lion, named Dongalpur, mauled Gujjar to death.
Reports stated that a police case has been registered followed by a post-mortem to find Gujjar was under the influence of alcohol or any other psychotropic substance when he jumped into the enclosure.
Gujjar’s body was found intact with only bite injuries in the neck. Following the attack, the lion was locked in the nighthouse, reports stated.
The review meeting was attended by Chief Ministers of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Tripura.
