The man has been identified as 50-year-old Nathuni Pal, a resident of Deoria, Bihar.

In a bizarre twist of fate, a man who was believed to have been murdered 17 years ago has been found alive in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh.

What really happened to the man identified as Nathuni Pal all those years ago, and how did his family end up imprisoned for a crime that was never committed?

Read on to uncover the shocking twists and turns of this story.

The mysterious case of life and death came to light when Jhansi Police, during a routine patrol on January 6, encountered 50-year-old Nathuni Pal, a resident of Deoria, Bihar, who had been registered as “dead” in Bihar Police records.

Nathuni Pal had been living quietly in Jhansi for the past 6 months, unaware of the grave mistake that had sealed his fate nearly two decades ago.

“I have been living alone, and I recently moved back to Jhansi. My parents passed away when I was a child, and my wife left me years ago. It’s been around 16 years since I last saw my home in Bihar,” Nathuni said.

The story dates back to a chilling incident from 2009, when Nathuni went missing under mysterious circumstances.

His maternal uncle filed a police complaint, accusing other relatives of conspiring to murder him and seize his property.

In the aftermath, Nathuni’s uncle and his 3 brothers served jail time for the alleged crime, all the while believing they had committed the crime.

However, the shocking truth came to light when Nathuni Pal was found alive.

Satendra Pal, one of the accused brothers, was moved to tears upon hearing the news. Revealing the emotional weight of the years spent in prison and the toll the false accusation had taken on their lives, he said, “We are finally free of the taint of murder.”

While the case remains in court, the finding of Nathuni Pal alive has thrown the entire narrative into disarray. The investigation is underway, and the questions surrounding this perplexing case are far from over.
