The 200-member team would include BJP MLAs and MPs along with Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) leaders
Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, his Cabinet colleagues, MLAs and MPs including many from the BJP would be visiting Guwahati on November 26 to pay obeisance to Ma Kamakhya. This is seen as a Thanksgiving visit to the revered Goddess Kamakhya. The 200 member team will be flying in chartered flights.
This would be CM Shinde and many of his MLAs’ second visit to the temple and the first after forming the government in Maharashtra.
CM Shinde, his supporters and the 39 rebel MLAs then had visited Kamakhya Temple in June this year when they were camping in Guwahati prior to forming the government in Maharashtra.
The team will also call on Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma. The only agenda of the Shiv Sena team is to pray at the Kamakhya Temple, sources told Northeast Live.
