Writing to the state, the ministry said that Kerala’s report of its state COVID-19 information after a gap of five days has impacted and skewed the standing of India’s key monitoring indicators like instances, deaths, and positivity.

“Day by day and diligent reporting of information is vital to reach at a significant understanding of pandemic within the districts, state and nationwide stage and be sure that any anomalies, surge or rising tendencies will be captured in a well-timed method,” the Union ministry reminded the state, asking for each day replace on Covid information as is the present apply.

India on Tuesday logged 1,247 fresh cases and only one death in the last 24 hours, according to the health ministry data.

The country’s coronavirus has been fluctuating, while mostly on a downward trend, for the past few weeks as governments slowly started lifting pandemic restrictions.

The number of infections on Tuesday are almost 43 percent fewer than Monday when India saw a spike of 2,075 cases in a day, the first time in nearly a month.
