Gujarat man kills neighbour’s minor sons to avenge ‘insult’

In a horrific incident in Gujarat, a 45-year-old man identified as Rajesh Mohaniya allegedly killed his neighbour’s sons to avenge an insult by their family.

The deceased have been identified as Dilip Bamaniya and his younger brother Rahul both were under the age of 10.

Mohaniya who is a resident of Kantu village of Dhanpur taluka allegedly killed the minors and dumped their bodies on the outskirts of the village, according to police.

As per reports, Mohaniya killed the two brothers as on another day he was scolded by their family in Dahod district.

The incident took place on May 10 around 8 pm.

Police said, that Mohaniya, who works as a watchman and lives near Narvat Bamaniya’s house, had asked the latter’s eldest daughter to get him a sachet of gutka from a local shop around 10 days ago, and when she refused, he began verbally harassing her.

The girl’s mother later scolded Mohaniya for his acts and during the argument, she also slapped him, police added.

To avenge the “insult,” on May 10, Mohaniya convinced the victims to come to him when they were playing near their house.

Mohaniya lured the kids offering them snacks and then took them on his motorcycle.

He then strangled them to death and dumped their bodies on the outskirts of the village.

Later, on May 12, police found the bodies after a search operation.
