The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is celebrating its 43rd foundation day on Thursday, April 6. The party came into existence on April 6, 1980, with Atal Bihari Vajpayee as its first president.
To commemorate the day, the party has organised a wall writing programme to mark BJP’s 43rd foundation day across the country.
All state units’ chiefs will undertake this programme, BJP President JP Nadda informed.
Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh, who took part in the wall-writing programme, was seen painting the party’s symbol, the lotus, to mark the occasion.
“I made a humble attempt to paint the lotus symbol of the BJP on the occasion of the 44th Foundation Day of the Party. I took the opportunity to hold the brush and paint the lotus to reaffirm our commitment to the values and ideals of the BJP, which the symbol holds.” CM N Biren Singh wrote on Twitter.
Tamil Nadu BJP Chief K Annamalai was also seen painting the party’s lotus symbol on a wall nearby the BJP office in T Nagar its 44th Foundation Day.
Earlier, Bharatiya Janata Party national president JP Nadda hoisted the party’s flag at BJP headquarters in Delhi to mark the 44th Foundation Day of the BJP.
