Ex-Pak PM Imran Khan injured in shootout

Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan was injured after miscreants fired at him today. Situation turned ugly, after shots were fired near the convoy of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan in the country’s eastern part. As per reports, 4 others with Imran Khan were also injured in the firing.

The incident took place when the former Pakistan Prime Minister was leading an anti-government rally towards Islamabad.

The shots were reportedly fired at Imran Khan’s reception camp at Allahwala Chowk in Gujranwala.

Meanwhile, the accused who has been apprehended confessed that he had shot at Imran Khan alleging that the latter was misleading the public. However, further probe into the incident is underway.

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the Interior Minister for an immediate report into the firing on PTI Chairman Imran Khan. The Pakistan Prime Minister has also condemned the incident in strongest words.
