Ed Sheeran, the renowned British singer-songwriter, is all set to be the first international artist to perform in Bhutan. The highly anticipated event is scheduled to take place on January 24, 2025 at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan.

Fans attending the historic Bhutan concert can expect a setlist featuring a mix of tracks from Sheeran’s entire discography, including his hits from the 2011 debut album +, as well as songs from his 2019 No. 6 Collaborations Project.

In a video message, Ed Sheeran expressed his excitement about performing in Bhutan for the first time, saying, “I have heard wonderful things about Bhutan and Gelephu Mindfulness City. I am thrilled to announce my first-ever concert in your beautiful country. See you all there. Let me know what I need to do in the comments.”

The concert is being promoted by Gelephu Mindfulness City and AEG Presents, with One Fiinix Live organizing the show. This historic performance in Bhutan promises to be an unforgettable experience for both Ed Sheeran’s fans and the people of Bhutan.

Tickets for the highly anticipated event start at an affordable $ 10 (Rs 800) on TiXbt.

However, according to reports, fans attending the concert will also need to pay Bhutan’s Sustainable Development Fee (SDF), a $100 (8,200) daily charge aimed at preserving the country’s unique environment and culture.

The SDF is directly allocated to environmental conservation and community development initiatives.

All tourists are required to book their trips through a registered tour operator, who will manage the visa processing.

This concert is part of the global leg of Sheeran’s ‘Mathematics Tour,’ which will also see him performing in India and the Middle East, running through until May 2025.

The tour marks the conclusion of Sheeran’s successful Mathematics era, which began in Dublin in 2022.

Having completed over 134 performances worldwide, Ed Sheeran’s concerts have captivated audiences with his minimalist, stripped-back performances, where he accompanies himself solely with his guitar and Loopstation.
