At least six people have been injured after ten coaches of the Mumbai-Howrah Mail derailed near Chakradharpur in Jharkhand early Tuesday morning.
As per reports, the derailment happened at 3:45 am near Badabamboo, situated between Rajkharswan West Outer and Barabamboo in the Chakradharpur division of the South Eastern Railway (SER).
A senior SER official informed the media that around 10-12 coaches of Train No. 12810 Mumbai-Howrah Mail went off the tracks near Badabamboo, injuring six passengers.
Rescue operations are ongoing, involving both the Mumbai-bound train and a freight train, according to the official.
The injured individuals received initial medical care in Badabamboo before being transported to Chakradharpur for further treatment.
