Veteran actor Rio Kapadia passes away after battling cancer

He last appeared in season two of Made in Heaven, in which he played the father of Mrunal Thakur's character in the second episode
Veteran actor Rio Kapadia, who is known for his roles in films such as Dil Chahta Hai, Chak De! India, Happy New Year, and Mardaani, passed away on Thursday after battling cancer. He was 66.
Apart from films, Kapadia played supporting roles in many shows, such as Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke and Mahabharat, among others.
He last appeared in season two of Made in Heaven, in which he played the father of Mrunal Thakur’s character in the second episode.
The last rites of the actor will be held tomorrow at a crematorium in Goregaon, suburban Mumbai.
Rio Kapadia is survived by his wife, Maria Farah, and two children, Aman and Veer.
