Siddharth Malhotra, after stealing the hearts of millions of fans with his action-packed performance in ‘Shershaah’ where he portrayed the role of Indian Soldier Captain Vikram Batra, which also received a Special Jury Award at the 69th National Film Awards on August 24, is all set to win the hearts of his fans once again with his another action thriller, ‘Yodha’, set to release in December.

Yodha

Yodha, directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha, is an upcoming Bollywood action thriller film starring Siddharth Malhotra, Disha Patani, and Raashii Khanna. Produced by Karan Johar under Dharma Productions, the film is scheduled to release on December 15, 2023.

The first look of the poster was released by Karan Johar on November 18, 2021.

Indian Police Force

Indian Police Force is an upcoming cop action drama series that will be released on Amazon Prime Video. Directed and produced by Rohit Shetty, the series stars Sidharth Malhotra in the lead, alongside Vivek Oberoi and Shilpa Shetty as cops.

The series is a part of Rohit Shetty’s fictional cop universe, Singham and Singham 2 with Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh-starrer Simmba, and Akshay Kumar-led Sooryavanshi.

As per the latest reports, the film is expected to release on Diwali this year.

Adal Badal

There are reports of Siddharth Malhotra sharing screen with his newly-wed wife Kiara Advani after their power-packed performance in Shershaah. Reports suggest, the movie will be a romantic comedy.

Siddharth Malhotra’s career

Sidhharth Malhotra started his career as a fashion model and made his acting debut on the silver screen with the 2009 serial ‘Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan’, where he played the role of Jaichand.

Before making his Bollywood debut with Karan Johar’s teen movie Student of the Year in 2012, alongside Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan, he worked as an assistant director in Karan Johar’s movie My Name is Khan in 2010.

After the success of Student of the Year, Siddharth went on to star in commercially successful films such as the romantic comedy Hasee Toh Phasee (2014), the thriller Ek Villain (2014), and the drama Kapoor & Sons (2016). Following a career downturn, he gained praise for starring as Vikram Batra in the war film Shershaah (2021), earning a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Actor. He married his co-star in the film, Kiara Advani, in 2023.

Siddharth Malhotra’s personal life

Siddharth Malhotra was born into a Punjabi family to a father, Sunil, a former Indian Merchant Navy employee, and a mother, Rimma, a housewife, on January 16, 1985, in New Delhi.

He also has an elder brother, Harshad Malhotra, who works in the banking industry.

Sidharth completed his schooling at Delhi`s Don Bosco School and Birla Vidya Niketan and later went on to pursue his higher studies at Bhagat Singh College.

During his college days, Malhotra started taking up modeling assignments in order to earn some extra money, during which he was spotted by a model coordinator, after which he took up modeling as a full-time career.

In 2007, the actor won the Mr. Gujarat pageant, was the second runner-up in the Gladrags Mega-model and Manhunt 2007, and was also declared Gladrags Face of the Year 2009.

On February 2, 2023, Siddharth tied the knot with Bollywood actress Kiara Advani in an intimate ceremony in Jaisalmar, Rajasthan.
