Model Erica-Robin became the first ever Pakistani model to win the Miss Universe Pakistan 2023 title on Thursday in the Maldives.
With this achievement, Erica will represent Pakistan at the 72nd Global Miss Universe Pageant in El Salvador this year for the first time in Pakistan’s history.
Erica Robin competed against Hira Inam (24), Jessica Wilson (28), Malika Alvi (19), and Sabrina Wasim (26) for the title.
However, Prime Minister Anwaar-Ul-Haq Kakar to the foreign office to the intelligence bureau—Pakistan’s administration has decided to not officially endorse the pageant, as according to them they have not designated a representative for the country in a beauty competition such as Miss Universe.
Five interesting facts about Erica Robin
- Born on September 14, 1999, in a Christian family in Karachi, Pakistan, Erica did her schooling at St. Patrick’s Girls High School in Karachi and then went to the Government College of Commerce and Business Administration in Chandigarh.
- Erica embarked on her professional modeling career in January 2020 and was featured in the July 2020 issue of DIVA Magazine Pakistan.
- She has been a part of various shoots and fashion shows for Pakistani fashion brands like Khaadi, Zara Shahjahan, Sania Maskatiya, Elan, and Sana Safinaz.
- In August 2020, she joined as an assistant manager at Flow Digital, an IT consulting firm in Karachi.
24-year-old Erica is an avid traveler and has travelled to multiple countries, including the UAE, Turkey, and the Maldives, among others.
