The 19th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards was held in Bangkok on Sunday.

Late actress Sridevi’s ‘Mom’ and Irrfan Khan-starrer ‘Hindi Medium’ clinched the top honours. While Sridevi was posthumously given the Best Actress award for her role of a mother in ‘Mom’, Irrfan was given the Best Actor trophy for his comical performance in ‘Hindi Medium’.

Sridevi’s husband, producer Boney Kapoor, accepted the award on her behalf. While, producer Dinesh Vijan took the award for Irrfan, who is currently undergoing treatment in London. The talented actor has been recently diagnosed with Neuroendocrine tumour.

The 19th International Indian Film Academy Awards also paid a tribute to late legendary actor Shashi Kapoor for his outstanding contribution to Indian cinema.

Father-son duo Rishi Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor accepted the award on behalf of Shashi Kapoor, who passed away in December 2017 at the age of 79 due to ailing health.
