Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone's song ‘Besharam Rang’ from the upcoming movie Pathaan has landed into several controversies.

Ever since Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s first track Besharam Rang from Pathaan was released, it has courted controversy. Madhya Pradesh minister Dr Narottam Mishra fumed over the use of saffron costumes in the song. He also said Pathaan contains some objectionable scenes, and threatened to ban it in Madhya Pradesh if those shots are not replaced. Several politicians spoke up on the same lines after this. This fire of controversy has now reached Jabalpur. Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal fiercely opposed the shooting of one of Shah Rukh Khan’s film in the tourist destination Bhedaghat there, an India Today report said.

WHAT HAPPENED IN JABALPUR?

It was reportedly the shooting of Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki that protestors disrupted in Jabalpur. No major starcast of the film including, SRK, was present at the shoot. The shooting of the film has been going on for three days in Bhedaghat and Dhuandhar, famous tourist places of Jabalpur. Meanwhile, SRK’s body double was being used. The activists of Hinduist organization Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal reached Bhedaghat to protest against the film as soon as they came to know about the shoot.

Meanwhile, at some distance from the shooting spot, the police tried to stop the protestors by barricading. When the angry activists tried to break the barricades, they were fiercely pushed by the police. They also raised slogans for hours and were seen chanting Hanuman Chalisa at the protest site. CSP Priyanka Shukla said that the film is being shot in Bhedaghat after obtaining statutory permission from the collector.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal have also submitted a memorandum to the Tehsildar to protest against the shooting. They had talked about a peaceful protest in Bhedaghat. The organisation said that they will not allow any actor, who insults saffron, to shoot on the ‘Tapobhoomi of Narmada coast’.
