Taking strong exception to Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar’s controversial remarks on the traditional attire of the people of Northeast, the All Kalita Students Union filed an FIR against Johar and actor Kirron Kher in Assam’s Tinsukia district.

The FIR which was filed on November 14 was in reaction to the alleged ‘disrespecful’ remarks made by Karan Johar in a video that he uploaded on his Instagram handle from the sets of ‘India’s Got Talent 8.’

As a matter of fact, Karan can be seen mocking co-judge Kirron Kher for wearing a traditional headgear from the region that was gifted to her by a contestant.

The video which went viral sparked major controversy across the region.
