Cricket: Former Zimbabwe captain Heath Streak passes away

During his illustrious career, Streak played 65 Tests and 189 ODIs for his country between 1993 and 2005
After a prolonged battle with cancer, former Zimbabwe star cricketer breathed his last at the age of 49 in the early hours today.
The former Zimbabwe cricket team captain’s wife confirmed about the development as she shared an emotional post in the social media.
Nadine Streak, posted “In the early hours of this morning, Sunday, September 3rd, 2023, the greatest love of my life and the father of my beautiful children, was carried to be with the angels from his home, where he wished to spend his last days surrounded by his family and closest loved ones. He was Heath Streak covered in love and peace and did not walk off the park alone. Our souls are joined for eternity, Streaky. Till I hold you again.”
Streak played 65 Tests and 189 ODIs for his country between 1993 and 2005 and claimed more than 450 international wickets.
Streak, was the first Zimbabwean bowler to take 100 wickets in ODIs as well as the Test Match format.
