In the wake of rising COVID-19 cases in Meghalaya, a massive vaccination drive has been carried out for the CRPF troopers in the state. A total of 1,049 CRPF personnel have been administered the vaccine on Tuesday.
Commandant of 67 BN CRPF, Alok Bhattacharya informed that they have been ensuring that the vaccination process is carried out thoroughly so that they are prepared to fight the second wave of COVID-19.
Bhattacharya also added that their only concern is with personnel who have been on the move or those on leave.
Dr Alok Bhattacharya also said that there are close to 22 personnel who have not been vaccinated due to various reasons. He added that there are 24 Covid positive cases which are mild ones.
On the other hand, Chief Medical Officer at 67 BN CRPF Dr Utpal Gogoi informed that 98 percent of the force has received both the doses so far.
