Two UNLF cadres arrested in Manipur

As per inputs, the proscribed group served monetary demand to businessmen and the general public in and around Imphal area to raise their party funds
Two active cadres of the proscribed United National Liberation Front (UNLF) group were arrested by a team of commandos Imphal West district (CDO-IW), Manipur yesterday (March 15).
The team arrested the UNLF cadres from Heibok Lainingthou Mandir, Lilong Chajing (Imphal West) and Wangkhei Thangapat Mapal respectively (Imphal East).
The arrested cadres have been identified as– Rajkumar Bobo Singh(35),a resident of Narankonjil Mayai Leikai and Elangbam Biken Singh (24) who hails from Wangkhei Thangapat Mapal.
As per inputs, they have disclosed to the team that they served monetary demand to businessmen and the general public in and around the Imphal area to raise their party funds.
The CDO-IW also recovered two mobile phones, Three letters heads of UNLF, and one demand letter of the group signed by Achouba Luwang, Deputy Finance from their possession.
Later, the arrested cadres along with the seized articles were handed over to Wangoi Police Station.
