The BJP government in Tripura led by Chief Minister Manik is leaving no stone unturned to wipe out drugs menace from the state.

As part of the Nasha Mukt Tripura (Drugs Free Tripura) the Tripura Police conducted a special week long drive in which contraband worth over Rs 2. 5 crore have been seized. During the Anti-Narcotics Special Drive, altogether 245 persons involved in drugs trade have been arrested while 50 cases have been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS Act, 1985).
