Tripura Polls 2023: TMC announces first list of 22 candidates

Tripura Trinamool Congress Chief Pijush Kumar Biswas is not on the first list

The All India Trinamool Congress today released the first list of 22 candidates for the upcoming Tripura Assembly elections to be held on February 16.

However, state Trinamool Congress Chief Pijush Kumar Biswas is not on the first list.

Nihar Ranjan Sarkar will be contesting from Bamutia, Puja Biswas from Ramnagar, Nirmal Majumdar from Majlishpur, Sutapa Gosh from Kamalasagar, Hardan Debnath from Bishalgarh, Joydal Hossain from Boxanagar, and Neel Kamal Saha from Sonamura.

Earlier today IPFT announced its candidate list for 6 candidates.
Of the 22 candidates, 6 are contesting in ST-reserved categories and 2 from SC categories.
