A case has been registered against the suspect, Taur Ali, who is currently missing, for the murder of his wife.
In a tragic incident in Tripura, a man allegedly murdered his ill wife by brutally slitting her throat with a dagger.
The incident has been reported from Tilagaou under Latiapura Panchayat in Kailashahar, North Tripura district.
Police, along with a forensic team, arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation to identify the murderer.
A case has been registered against the suspect, Taur Ali, who is currently missing, for the murder of his wife.
According to the victim’s brother, the accused was addicted to gambling and frequently assaulted his sister. Recently, Ali had demanded money for her surgery, which the family refused to provide, fearing he would spend it on gambling. Despite this, the family managed to get her surgery done.
But the motive of the murder is still not clear.
The victim’s brother said, “She (the deceased) was my elder sister and she was operated on May 17. He (accused Taur Ali) did not give a single penny. If we had paid him the money (cost for the operation) he would have spent it in gambling. So we decided that we will not hand over the money to him. We decided that we will bear the expenses of the operation. After my sister was brought home after the operation, she was assaulted by him, my nephew informed us over the phone. He told me that since the money was not handed over to him, he told me to wait and see the consequence.”
The police are actively investigating the case and are working to arrest the prime suspect.
One of the investigating police officials said, “This morning we received an information that a man has murdered a woman by slitting her throat. The FSL team is on the job. The accused is absconding but we are searching for him.”
