The week-long celebrations will culminate on International Nurses Day today. It may be mentioned here that International Nurses’ Day is the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, the English social reformer, statistician, and founder of modern nursing practices.

In his address to the gathering, CM Deb added that during the Covid pandemic, oxygen plants have been installed beside ventilators and other modern facilities in all districts showing that the health sector is moving in a new direction.

CM Deb said that this is the reason that referrals to other places for treatment have reduced.

Meanwhile, as part of the International Nurses Week celebrations, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb also inaugurated a blood donation camp in which a large number of nursing students and health officials voluntarily donated blood.

Speaking to the media, the blood donors expressed their satisfaction and urged others to participate in the noble deed.
