Tripura: Assam Guv reviews renovation work of Mata Tripurasundari temple
Governor Mukhi appreciated the development activities in the temple premises that aims to make it more attractive to the pilgrims.
Governor of Assam Professor Jagdish Mukhi visited the Mata Tripurasundari temple at Udaipur accompanied by Tripura’s Agriculture & Tourism Minister Pranajit Singha Roy and other dignitaries.
During the visit, the Assam Governor along with the Tripura Tourism Minister reviewed the ongoing renovation work of Mata Tripurasundari temple, which is one of the 51 sacred Hindu piths in the Indian subcontinent.
Speaking to Northeast Live, Governor Mukhi appreciated the development activities in the temple premises that aims to make it more attractive to the pilgrims.
Governor Mukhi said that he will come again to take the blessings of the goddess.
Meantime, Minister Pranajit Singha Roy while talking to Northeast Live informed that a major facelift of the temple for the development of the more than five centuries-old temples is going on under the Government of India’s Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Augmentation Drive or PRASAD scheme.
Minister Roy further said that 37 crores have been sanctioned for the facelift of the temple under the PRASAD scheme which aims at paving the way for the development and promotion of religious sites in the country.
