Tipra Motha chief and Royal Scion Pradyot Debbarma has clarified that the movement for Greater Tipraland will not stop until a constitutional settlement is offered by the Centre.

Debbarma’s clarification comes after rivals began targetting him over a remark on Northeast Live where Debbarma visibly indicated that if the government provides 20 thousand jobs to the indigenous Tiprasa people he is ready to withdraw the demand for Greater Tipraland. But in the same breath Pradyot asked whether the government would ever do this?

The statement however, triggered widespread reaction on social media with Debbarma stating that the CPM was spreading propaganda and msileading the people on the issue. Debbarma clarified that there can be no end to the Greater Tipraland demand until and unless a constitutional settlement is offered by the Centre.
