TIPRA Motha chief Pradyot Kishore Debbarma has sought for the Tripura DGP’s immediate intervention to probe the paper leak case pertaining to the written examination for the recruitment of Sub Zonal Development Officers and Deputy Principal Officers.

The examinations were supposed to be held today but was cancelled on Saturday by the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) after reports surfaced that the answer key for the examination had been leaked and widely distributed via WhatsApp.

Pradyot Debbarma in a post on social media in fact informed that already an arrest has been in connection with the case.

The Tripura royal scion also shared a copy of his letter to Tripura DGP Amitabh Ranjan seeking swift and impartial inquiry into the paper leakage case.

Pradyot in his letter wrote, “I would like to emphasise the urgency of conducting a impartial, swift and thorough inquiry into this matter. It is imperative that the culprits responsible for this unethical act are identified and brought to justice at the earliest. The culprits have not only compromised the integrity of the examination process but have also shattered the trust of thousands of aspirants in the fairness of the recruitment process. Such incidents not only undermise the efforts of deserving candidates but also cast a shadow of doubt on the credibility of the entire examination system. Hence, the prompt resolution of this issue is crucial to restoring the faith of the public in the examination process and ensuring that such incidents don not recur in the future.”
