Tripura CM launches Mission Indradhanush 4.0 to boost immunisation

In a significant boost towards achieving 100 per cent vaccination, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, along with other top officials of the Health Department, took part in an immunisation inauguration programme on Tuesday.

As per reports, the Intensified Mission Indradhanush 4.0 programme under the Universal Immunisation Programme of the Centre aims to protect children and pregnant women from life-threatening diseases.

The event, organised at the Samar Smriti Bhavan in Bankumari on the outskirts of Agartala, was inaugurated by the Chief Minister by inoculating drops of vaccine doses among children, where reportedly a large number of children, pregnant women, and ASHA workers participated.

During his speech, Tripura CM Biplab Kumar Deb emphasised the importance of the programme beside the fast developing health infrastructure and facilities in the state under the present government.

Meanwhile, Tripura Health Secretary JK Sinha also addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of vaccines in public health. He also laid emphasis on the achievements of the COVID-19 vaccination drive in the state.

The Health Secretary further appealed to the public to make full use of the health department’s schemes.
