Following the approval of international flights between Tripura and Bangladesh, Dr Manik Saha led Tripura Cabinet has now given the green signal to initiate additional international flights operating from the Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Airport in Agartala to other Southeast Asian countries like Bangkok, Malaysia, and Singapore.
Speaking to media, the Transport Minister of Tripura, Sushanta Chowdhury said that the government is considering connecting Tripura with the above Southeast Asian countries. “We have recently cleared a proposal to initiate flights with these destinations. Our subsequent plan is to establish air connectivity with various Southeast Asian nations, putting Agartala on the international aviation map,” he said.
