North Tripura: Blood Soaked Body of GST Superintendent Who Hailed from Assam, Found By The Roadside

He was working as the GST Superintendent in Dharmanagar, a major business hub bordering Assam and Bangladesh.

The body of a GST Superintendent who hailed from Assam’s Silchar, was found under mysterious circumstances by the roadside in Dharmanagar, North Tripura district of Tripura. The blood-soaked body of Hemanta Roy was discovered near Kali Dighi.

He was working as the GST Superintendent in Dharmanagar, a major business hub bordering Assam and Bangladesh.

A fire department vehicle arrived at the scene and transported Roy to Dharmanagar District Hospital, where Dr. Anup Goswami, the attending doctor, declared him brought dead.

Asked about the cause of death, Dr. Goswami stated that Roy had severe head injuries, which could have led to fatal head trauma.

However, he emphasized that the exact cause will be determined only after a postmortem examination as it was found that blood was also coming out of his mouth and nose which could be because of a road accident.

Roy hailed from Tarapur in Silchar, Assam.

Law enforcement officials have reached the hospital and are examining all possible angles to ascertain whether it was an accident or if foul play was involved.
