Former Tripura CM Deb’s security cover curtailed

As per inputs, 3 vehicles have been withdrawn from Biplab Deb's convoy with effect from May 21.

Former Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb’s security cover has been curtailed days after he stepped down from the coveted post.

As per inputs, 3 vehicles have been withdrawn from Biplab Deb’s convoy with effect from May 21.

Meanwhile, Biplab Deb is being provided a 4-vehicle cover maintaining all security parameters and threat perception.

However, the former Tripura Chief Minister continues to get the Z category security cover provided to him by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

It may be mentioned that nearly a week after Biplab Kumar Deb had resigned as the Chief Minister, Congress leader Sudip Roy Barman had alleged that Deb was running a ‘parallel administration’ to incumbent Chief Minister ManikSaha.

Not only this, Sudip Roy Barman had also urged upon Tripura Chief Secretary and DGP to withdraw Biplab Kumar Deb’s ‘excess’ security cover.
