Leaving behind political differences leaders of various parties including former CM Biplab Kumar Deb, Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman, and former MP and CPIM state secretary Jitendra Chowdhury met TIPRA Motha Supremo Pradyot Kishore Deb Barma at his palace in Agartala on Wednesday.
Speaking to the media on the occasion, the royal scion clarified that the visit has nothing to do with politics and only festive greetings were exchanged between the political leaders.
However, despite what Pradyot Deb Barma said, it is pertinent to remember that there are just five months left to go for the all-important general assembly elections in Tripura.
As such, it remains to be seen what could be the political implications of leaders of various parties meeting each other.
