Tripura: 6 Bangladeshi nationals arrested at MBB airport

Police also recovered mobile phones with pre-activated Indian SIM cards from their possessions
As many as six Bangladeshi nationals including five women have been arrested by police from the Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Airport in Agartala, Tripura.
The arrested Bangladeshi nationals have been identified as –Doli Begam of Sitarampur, Khaleda Begam of Comilla, Munni Begam of Kaliganj, Zinnad Begam of Sitarampur, Tania Begam of Sitarampur and Ahad Hossain of Sitarampur under Josshore of Bangladesh.
They were arrested on Thursday, April 27.
Police also recovered mobile phones with pre-activated Indian SIM cards from their possessions.
Talking to the media police said, “Our mobile party noticed six suspicious persons in the MBB airport and detained them. During interrogation at the spot it was revealed that they are Bangladeshi nationals who entered India illegally,” Suman Singha officer-in-charge (OC) of the Airport police station said.
He added, “They have been arrested as it is clear that they are Bangladeshi nationals and shall be produced in the on Friday.”
