Sikkim to form all women task force: CM Tamang

The Chief Minister also provided medical and government service assistance to deserving candidates.

Sikkim Chief Minister, Prem Singh Tamang, led 20-hour day-long meeting from 10 a.m. on January 8 to 4.30 a.m. on January 9 with the mass public of Rhenock constituency, Pakyong district, under the banner “Governance at the Doorstep” at the Rorathang senior secondary school premises at Rorathang.

The objective of the meeting was to assimilate the public and their grievances and also to assist them with various issues, which was reportedly witnessed by a huge number of people.

The Chief Minister also provided medical and government service assistance to deserving candidates.

Speaking exclusively to Northeastern Live, Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang said that an all women new special task force constituting 500 female officers in the state will be formed, adding Sikkim will also try to increase the number of female officers in the Sikkim Police Force.
