Sikkim: Swearing-in ceremony of PS Tamang as CM on June 10, PM Modi likely to attend

The SKM, which emerged victorious with a thumping majority both in Assembly and Lok sabha polls, has extended unconditional support to the BJP-led NDA.

Tamang also confirmed about the SKM’s decision to back the BJP-led NDA in a social media post.

The Sikkim CM-elect in the post wrote, “During a meeting held today at my official residence, Mintokgang, with the newly elected legislators, we unanimously decided to support Shri Narendra Modi Ji, the Hon’ble Leader of the BJP Parliamentary Party, as the Prime Minister of India.
We congratulate the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and the NDA on the remarkable victory in the 18th Lok Sabha Elections.
The Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) Party fully supports the NDA for the development and prosperity of our country.
We have also scheduled our swearing-in ceremony for June 10 at Paljor Stadium.
I extend my profound gratitude to the dear and respected people of Sikkim for granting us the mandate to serve the state and its people once again. We are honored by the significant victory in the 11th Sikkim Vidhan Sabha and 18th Lok Sabha General Elections, 2024.”

Meanwhile, as per sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to attend the swearing-in ceremony. SKM chief Tamang is expected to leave for Delhi tomorrow for the swearing-in ceremony of Narendra Modi.

Narendra Modi was unanimously elected as the leader of the NDA once again today.
