Sikkim Democratic Front party yesterday paid tribute to its founding member and three times Lok Sabha MP Bhim Dahal who passed away on March 5.

A condolence meeting was held at Party head office at Gangtok to bid adieu to its veteran leader.

Party leaders across the Sikkim Democratic Front party paid their tributes to the departed soul.

Party president Pawan Chamling in his condolence address remembered his association with late Dahal since 1993, and how he had greatly contributed to the party through his wisdom and capability.

Veteran leader Bhim Dahal has passed away on March 5 at Gangtok’s STNM hospital after a prolonged illness. 

He was 68 years old.

Dahal had been ailing and under treatment for some time.

He was elected to the Lok Sabha from Sikkim in 1996 and served as MP till 2004.
