Sikkim: Noted singer Anmol Gurung accused of misappropriation of approx Rs 1 crore from a production house

Noted Nepalese Singer Anmol Gurung has been accused of misappropriation of approximately Rs 1 crore from the popular Sikkim-based production house ‘Sushma Production’.
Sushma Gurung, the owner of the production house lodged a complaint against Anmol Gurung at Sadar Police Station in Gangtok on June 13, 2023, alleging that Gurung had misappropriated a substantial sum, approximately 1 crore relating to the movie “Kabbadi 4,” which was screened in 2023.
Based on the complaint, police asked Anmol Gurung to appear before the Police station to clear his stands, however, he did not turn up and applied for anticipatory bail ( It is a legal provision that allows an accused person to apply for bail before being arrested).
Investigation into the matter is underway and further updates will be provided in due course.
Both Sushma Gurung and Anmol Gurung are well-known figures in the film, media, and music industry, and this case has drawn the attention and concerns of their fans and followers.
