Sikkim: New political party ‘Sikkim Sanrakshak Party’ formed, promises to work on regional issues

A new political party called ‘Sikkim Sanrakshak Party’ or ‘Sikkim Protection Party’ was formed today ahead of assembly elections in Sikkim due next year.
The new party was formed by social activist Kazi Maan Chhetri along with other prominent figures of the state.
Speaking at a press conference in Gangtok, Kazi Maan Chhetri stated that the party will focus on working towards resolving various regional issues such as employment, education, health, and infrastructure development, among others.
He stated that the “Sikkim Sanrakshak Party” would work to protect the rights of the state’s citizens and promote the well-being of the region.
Kazee Maan Chhetri and other members of the party expressed confidence in their ability to make a positive impact in Sikkim. They emphasised that the party will work closely with the people of Sikkim to address their needs and concerns.
