Sikkim CM attends last rites of Arunachal counterpart Pema Khandu’s mother

Khandu also expressed his gratitude to the Sikkim Chief Minister for his visit during these difficult times and for his continued support.

In a solemn ceremony, Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang paid his last respects to the Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu’s mother, Pahalman Subba Jyu at Khandu’s native place in Tawang.

The Sikkim CM paid his due respect to the departed soul and expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family at the residence of CM Khandu.

Taking to social media, Sikkim CM wrote, “I had the solemn honor of visiting the residence of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Shri Pema Khandu Ji in Tawang, to pay my final respects to his beloved mother, late Smt. Ama Lezang Ji.”

“I pray that her soul rests in eternal peace and that the bereaved family finds strength and solace in the cherished memories and enduring legacy she leaves behind,” he added.

“My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time, and I pray for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace,” shared the Chief Minister.

Khandu also expressed his gratitude to the Sikkim Chief Minister for his visit during these difficult times and for his continued support.

Chief Minister Tamang was accompanied by Secretary, CMO S.D. Dhakal.
