Sikkim: 2 Labourers from West Bengal Killed Due to Mudslide at a Construction Site in Gangtok

Two labourers tragically lost their lives during a mudslide at a construction site near White Hall in Gangtok, Sikkim late Monday.
The deceased labourers have been identified as Subhra Deb Das (29) and Biswajit Biswas (34). Both were from West Bengal and were working on-site when the mudslide occurred around 6:00 PM.
A fellow worker, Uttam Biswas, who witnessed the incident, reported it to the authorities.
The bodies are now at a private hospital in Gangtok for post-mortem examinations.
Police investigating the circumstances leading to the accident and evaluate safety precautions at the site.
