Ex-SDF MLA Chandra Maya Subba, 20 others resign from SDF, to join SKM

In a major setback for the Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) party, former SDF legislator Chandra Maya Subba, along with the twenty other SDF CLC team from the Yangthang constituency, resigned from the party.

In a mass resignation letter written to SDF party president Pawan Chamling, former legislator Chandra Maya Subba stated that she served the SDF Party by holding different posts and portfolios from 1994 to date.

She further informed that she is resigning from all the posts that she holds as well as from the primary membership of the SDF Party due to personal reasons.

Along with the former SDF legislator, Subba, twenty members of the SDF party of Yangthang Constituency including the CLC President also resigned from the SDF party.

The resignation letter stated, “We the following signatories, served the SDF Party as Party Workers by holding different posts from 1994 to the present. But now onward, respecting our interest and desire, we withdraw all our support altogether from the above-mentioned party for our personal reasons.”

“Therefore, we humbly resign from all the posts that we hold, as well as from the primary membership of the SDF Party,” the letter further stated.

Meanwhile, former SDF legislator along with CLC members met CM Prem Singh Tamang at Gangtok in the presence of Minister Bhim Hang Limboo.
