Bhumi Pednekar Hails Sikkim Govt’s Move Towards Environmental Sustainability says, ” hope other states follow suit as well”

Bollywood actor Bhumi Pednekar who is also an environmental conservation enthusiast and known for her exemplary commitment to sustainable living has praised the Sikkim government for their actions towards responsible tourism and eco-conservation.
Recently the Tourism and Civil Aviation Department of Sikkim mandated all tourist vehicles entering Sikkim to carry large garbage bags to promote environmental sustainability in all the tourist destinations and to ensure community participation towards achieving this goal.
To ensure the rule is followed, tourist vehicles will be checked randomly by officials and any vehicle found not complying with the rule will be fined according to government rules, the state’s Tourism and Civil Aviation Department said.
