Arun Limboo hits out at SKM govt; narrates Soreng violence
Arun Limboo alleged that the police dragged him to the police station in an injured state, instead of taking him to the hospital.
A day after being released from jail SDF spokesperson Arun Limboo today accused a section of police officials working as SKM workers who targets youths if the incumbent SKM government is criticized.
Speaking on his arrest after the Soreng violence, Arun Limboo alleged that the police dragged him to the police station in an injured state, instead of taking him to the hospital.
Besides, Limboo also gave an account of how the situation turned ugly at Soreng on April 30. Limboo said the SDF was holding a constituency-level meeting where he was asked to participate and give a speech on the Limboo-Tamang seat reservation issue.
According to Limboo, when he and his two-party colleagues – Rikzing Bhutia and Avinash Yakha – were about to reach the venue, their vehicle was left stranded in a traffic snarl.
Following this, Limboo said a large number of SKM workers suddenly approached his vehicle and began the attack by pelting stones.
It was then, that Limboo used pepper spray against the attackers and managed to flee from the spot.
However, things did not end here as Arun Limboo alleged that he was attacked at another spot by SKM workers.
