In a shocking incident, a nine-year-old minor girl was physically assaulted by a 63-year-old shopkeeper in Sikkim.
The victim is a student in class 3.
The incident came to light after the victim’s school teacher informed the victims family about her ordeal, which she revealed when asked about good touch and bad touch in school.
Furthermore, during the inquiry, the victim revealed that for a few months, she had been sexually harassed by a shopkeeper near their residence.
Following which, the victim’s mother filed a complaint with the Gangtok police on April 15.
The police have arrested the person on charges of physically molesting the minor girl.
The review meeting was attended by Chief Ministers of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Tripura.
