To provide some relief to the mountaineers and tourists visiting the mountainous state of Sikkim, a 24-year-old girl, Prabha Chettri from Mangan, launched Himalayan Oxy, a portable oxygen canister to prevent altitude sickness.
The product was launched keeping in mind the breathing issues that tourists face while traveling to high-altitude areas.
Since there have been many breathing problems and casualties in Sikkim, the product is a handy oxygen canister.
The oxygen canister can be used at high altitude places like Lachen, Lachung, and Yumthang in North Sikkim and Nathula Pass in East Sikkim.
Recently, the department of transport issued a notification that appealed to tourists to carry the oxygen canister with them while traveling to higher altitudes.
Speaking to Northeast Live, Prabha Chettri, founder of Himalayan Oxy said, “There are many success stories of the Himalayan Oxy. The tourists have been using the canister and have saved many lives.”
She also launched an agricultural product called Quinoa Super Food, which is high in protein and fiber.
The product has also caught the attention of the market by being produced with a high profile.
She brought the product to the market by repacking and processing it by value edition.
