Nyishi Assamese ties relived at Gohpur Cultural exchange
The Assam-Arunachal Moitree Sanmilan was initiated by the Nyishi Elite Society and the Axom Sahitya Sabha District Unit.
In a bid to nurture and maintain the age-old friendship between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, the Second Assamese-Nyishi Cultural Exchange was observed on Saturday at Kalabari in Assam’s Gohpur.
The Assam-Arunachal Moitree Sanmilan was initiated by the Nyishi Elite Society and the Axom Sahitya Sabha District Unit of North Lakhimpur, Biswanath, and Sonitpur District.
The program was graced by Tezpur MP Pallab Lochan Das, besides other guest including Gohpur MLA Utpal Borah, Bisawanath MLA Pramod Bor Thakur, Pakke Kesaang MLA Biyuram Wahge, Doimukh MLA Tana Hali, Raga MLA Tarin Dakpe, NES President Bengia Tolum, and Axom Sahitya Sabha Vice President Mrinalini Devi.
Speaking at the event, MP Pallab Lochan Das stated that Assam will prosper automatically when neighboring states prosper.
